What a show coming in today’s episode including a look at what you and other systems did to celebrate EMS Week last week. Plus, we’ll take a look at what one paramedic did to improve CPR and resuscitation rates in his community and EMS system. All of that is coming up next here on the MedicCast.
This week, I bring you another EMS 10 Innovator Awardee in an interview segment recorded in our podcast studio, sponsored by Physio-Control, at EMS Today 2013 in March. Dale Becker is from Howard County, Maryland, just down the road from me and he wanted to change the way his EMS crews focused on CPR during cardiac arrest resuscitation. With some education gleaned from the famed resuscitation academy, Dale brought his EMS system the information they needed to improve survival after cardiac arrest in his area.
