Heat Related Emergencies
The MedicCast
To prepare EMS providers for the coming summer heat, the podmedic, Jamie Davis, features the different emergency situations that occur from high temperature. In this episode, EMTs, paramedics and EMS students will learn about heat stroke, heat cramps, and heat exhaustion including the signs, symptoms and emergency measures that should be done to cool the patient down and reverse the effects of heat. The show also features news for EMS and links to resources for further review.
