Poisonous Gases Review

The MedicCast

For EMS responders responding to toxic gas poisoning incidents, protective measures should be instituted to avoid getting harmed. It also helps to institute the necessary interventions for victims of poisonous gas inhalation if the gas is identified so part of the responders' duty is to look for cans or containers that may have been the source. In this week's MedicCast episode, an interview with Lisa Booze of the Maryland Poison Center will provide paramedics with the necessary information on the different types of toxic gases, symptoms of toxicity, interventions and what to look for in such situations.
